Heritage

Vinlandic Systems isn't starting from zero. Our founder has been working with humanoid robots since 2013 — supporting Chinese trade shows, integrating partner hardware, and learning what actually works in the field. This is the foundation we're building on.

Hong Kong — Hans & Sophia

Sheldon Hunt began supporting humanoid robot demonstrations at major Chinese trade shows. Working with the Hans and Sophia android platforms — some of the most advanced expressive humanoid robots of the era — he helped run live demos, integrate speech and vision systems, and present the technology to international audiences.

Trade Show Circuit

Three years on the Chinese robotics trade show circuit — Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong. Hands-on work with early humanoid platforms, android torsos, and expressive AI heads. Learning what breaks when you put robots in front of crowds, what works in demos, and what doesn't translate to the real world.

Vinlandic Systems Founded

Thirteen years of robotics experience, distilled into a company. Vinlandic Systems brings Canadian engineering discipline to the harshest environments on Earth — and beyond. The same standard that ran trade show demos in Hong Kong now builds machines for Canadian winters, Arctic operations, and industrial hazard zones.

About

Built where humans can't go.

Vinlandic Systems is a Canadian robotics company building autonomous machines for the world's harshest environments. Founded on the principle that the North demands more from its technology, we engineer robots that work through cold, wet, dark, and danger — the conditions that define the geography we come from.

Our name comes from Vinland — the Norse name for the North American coast, the farthest reach of Viking exploration. Like those first explorers, we build machines that go beyond the map. Not a friendly home helper. A machine that earns its place in the world by doing work that matters, in places that don't forgive.

Guahua four-armed humanoid robot
Hardware Partner

Guahua Robotics

Guahua is a primary hardware partner for Vinlandic Systems. Their next-generation humanoid platforms — dual-arm gantry systems, four-armed mobile humanoids, and full-size bipedal robots — form the mechanical foundation for several Vinlandic product lines. Joint development and Canadian distribution in progress.
